MRS. SCHMOLL JOINS THOMAS REAL ESTATE FIRM Mrs. Marjorie R. Schmoll of 2520 East Shore Drive has recently become a member of Thomas Real Estate of Culver. She has been a property owner in th~ Culver area since 1961.

Last winter Mrs. Schmoll took the state Real Estate course at the Continuing Education Center at Notre Dame University in South Bend. She th~n went to Indianapolis this spring to take the State of Indiana Real Estate Commission Examination for salesmen.

After passing this exam, she became eligible to join Thomas Real Estate. This firm is in its second year of handling town, farm, and lake property in the Culver area, and is staffed by Gerald Thomas, Broker, and Virginia Thomas, salesman - Jul 25 1974

April 15, 1923 - December 5, 2014

was born April 15, 1923 in Indianapolis, IN to Fred Henry and Vivian Winona Rosebrock.

Marge had two older brothers, Brother Fredrick Wallace Rosebrock (Lucy Anna) had 5 children, Fredrick Allen (Patricia Ann) and Linda Sue (George Prell) and Randal Gray (Anne) and Robert Vincent (Jennifer) and Lori Anna (Randal Hilarides) and Brother Theodore Lee Rosebrock (Ruby Evelyn) had 4 children, Steven Thomas (deceased) (Linda) and Douglas Alan (deceased) (Mary) and Jere Ann (Loren Smith) and Jana Frances (Kevin O'Brien).

She graduated from Shortridge HS in 1941. After graduation, she attended Butler University and pledged Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority.

Marge married William Bernard Schmoll her high school sweet heart, on March 26, 1944.

She had lived in Louisiana, Texas, Arizona and Seattle Washington prior to starting a family in Indiana.

Bill and Marge had 4 children: Susan Lynn, sons Scott and Geoffery; William Michael-(deceased); Gregory Martin (Sally), daughter Heather (Michael Grilley) son Ian (Nicole); and Philip Clayton, daughters Tara, Morgan and Callie. She also leaves behind 9 great grandchildren, with one on the way.

In addition to being a full time homemaker, she worked with Bill in their very successful home building and Residential Development business, in the late 1940s and into the '50s, and were key and instrumental in starting and developing numerous subdivisions on the Northeast side of Indianapolis along with Chapel Hill on the Westside. Then in the late '50s, they took a change of pace in development and purchased property on 65th Street and started the Commercial / Industrial Leasing operation that became the Schmoll Industrial Park.

As a family, they enjoyed boating and skiing and sailing and lake living during the summers. In the '50s, they had homes on Lake Freeman and then moved to Lake Maxinkuckee in Culver Indiana in the'60s. In the mid '60s, Marge and Bill separated and she moved to Culver where she worked at Culver Military Academy to provide the wonderful education and experience of the Culver Military Academy Summer and Winter School for her three boys.

After Culver, Marge moved to South Bend, Indiana for a period of time and received her Real Estate License. She later moved to Fountain Hills, Arizona and worked for MCO Properties. She then moved to Clearwater, Florida working as an office manager and then she retired. She moved back to Indianapolis in about 2001.

Marge was a member of St. Luke United Methodist Church in Nora. She also enjoyed and attended Faith Presbyterian Church in Castleton, which was her church at the time of her death.

Marge was an avid reader and she loved to dance and enjoyed Big Band Music. She loved American history and anything about Abraham Lincoln.

She was independent to her last days and lived in her own assisted living apartment at Miller's Senior Living in Castleton. At the age of 91 years, Marge peacefully passed away, of natural causes, in her home while sitting on her couch with her cat, Lilly, on Friday, December 5th after years of heart related issues. Marge and her son Greg and his wife Sally thank all at Miller's for their care and assistance in her life at Miller's. They would also express their deepest appreciation for the all the Love and hands on assistance and direction through Marge's life from Rob and Jenny Rosebrock and the entire Rosebrock Family. We Love you all, from the heart.

Services will be held in Flanner and Buchanan - Broad Ripple , with visitation and calling on Wednesday, December 10th from 10 a.m. to Noon, with a memorial service immediately following, then with graveside services to be conducted at Crown Hill Cemetery.

Marge and her Family respectfully requested that donations please be made to the American Heart Association or the Humane Society of Indianapolis.
