Crismond, 78-year-old retired local business man, who succumbed at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon after a brief illness.

Mr. Crismond was a member of the local Elks lodge and was active in the organization throughout the many years he was affiliated with the order.
In 1888 he entered the hardware business with Thomas Flanegin Sr. and for eight ears was associated with the firm of Flangin and

In poor health for several years but critically sick since last thursday,horace j. crismond age 78, retired local hardware dealer died at
his home, 1600 East Broadway, yesterday afternoon at 4 o'clock.
born in Fredercksburg, Ca., August 1, 1859, Mr. Crismond came to Indiana when a boy. He received his early education, here and
there after employment in various minor capacities he entered the hardware business. for several years her operater a stoire in
Market Street.
During that perion his contact with people brought him a wide scope of acquaintances and many friends. He was noted for his
honest upright business dealings

Mr. Crismond was given credit for being the founder of the municipal christmas tree project.
During the past few years of his retirement Mr. Crismond spent his summers at his Lake Maxinkuckee home
He was a charter -.member of the Logansport Elks lodge
The body will lie in state at the home Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p. m. invited to- call.
Funeral from Home
Private funeral services are to be conduted from the home Thursday afternoon at 2;30 o'clock with the Rev. Mr. Guard of Urbana, ill.
in charge. Burial will take place in the crismond mausoleum in Mt. Hope.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Lilliam Crismond; two daughters, Mrs. Jean Armacost of Logansport and Mrs. Asa Gutherie of Peru;
two grandchildren, Maxine and Jane Grund also of Peru.

Mrs. Lillie A. Crismond, 86, 1603 E. Broadway, died at 11:20 p.m. last night at her home of pneumonia.
She was taken to Chase-Miller funeral home.

Mrs. Lillie Crismond Services to Be Held At Her Home Here Today
Final rites for Mrs. Lillie A. Crismond, 86, of 1603 E. Broadwaywill be this afternoon at 3:30 at
the residence. The Reverend Harold King will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery.
Born Feb. 4, 1867 in this city Mrs. Crismond was. the daughter of Izaak and Catherine Hook Himmelburger.
The body has been taken from the Chase-Miller chapel to the residence.
Her husband, Horace J,, and a daughter, Mrs. Gene Armacost, preceded' her in death.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Guthrie, Peru; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a
son-in-law, Gene Armacost, of 1603 E. Broadway.

Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Guthrie, of Peru; two grandchildren and three greatgrandchildren; and
one son-in-law, Gene Armacost
