    1955 - Jul 13 - Hamlet Family Buys Local Greenhouse from O'Conner's
      Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anderlohr and son, Joseph Jr., of Hamlet have taken over the O'Connor Greenhouse which they purchased on Friday from Mr. and Mrs. John O'Connor.

      The Anderlohrs have operated a greenhouse in Halmet for the past year and Joseph Jr. has had experience in several floral shops

      Mr. Anderlohr and his son spent last week in Chicago at the American Floral Arts School and on August 7 Mrs. Anderlohr will go to Lansing, Mich. to attend a floral arts school

      Besides theri son, Mr. and Mrs. Anderlohr have a marrie daughter, Mrs. Loretta Cunningham of South Bend.


    1955- July 20 - Anderlohrs Give Their Greenhouse A New Name
      Culver Greenhouse Is Name of New Local Establishment

      The Anderlohrs, who will operate under the name proprietorship and Joseph and Joyce Anderlohr, are members of Teleflora (Telegraph Delivery Service).

      Their plans include the erection of a new building next year.

      They and their fine young son Joseph Jr., better known as Joey, are membders of the Roman Cathloic Church
      On Aug. 7 Mrs. Anderlohr will go to Lansing Mich. to attend a floral arts school

      The Culver Greenhouse's new schedule of advertising which begins in thsi issue of the Citizen is worthy of your attention. It certainly is an indication that they are out to capture as much of the flower business of the surrounding area as is humanly ppossible.


    1955 - Nov. 2 - Anderlohr' s Culver Greenhouse wiill hold its grand opening from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, presenting roses to the iladies and free coffee and doughnuts to all attending.

    1955 - Nov. 9 - Culver Greenhouse Grand Opening Is Hugh Sucess
      The grand opening of Anderlohr's Culver Greenhouse Sunday attracted over 1,000 person from all over Marshall County and many surrrounding communties.

      The greenhouse is owned and operated by Joseph and Joyce Anderlohr.

      Of the many persons attending, 800 roses were given to the ladies as well as 25 corsages and four boquets of roses. Mrs Fen Williams of Delong, Mrs. R. E. Middleton, Mrs. Robert Cultice and Miss Barbara Depiro received the prises of the rose.

      Guests were still visiting as late as 10 p.m. Doughnuts and coffee were served.

    1961 - June 21 - Assumes New Duties At Culver Greenhouse - - Joseph Anderlohr Jr . assumed the management of the Anderlohr Culver Greenhouse on June 19.

    Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Anderlohr, Sr. will continue to live in Culver and aid Joe Jr. in the operation of the business


    1964 - Dec 12 - Meeting on Monday night also, the board of zoning appeals headed by Bob Osborn voted to recommend that the building commissioner grant a request of Joseph P. Anderlohr, Jr. to locate and use a house trailer on property in the 1000 block of South Main St. The, board also recommended Anderlohr be given temporary permit to move his flower shop into a house on the same property for the winter season.
