The downtown Culver as we know it today had its start in 1900 with the first business building being erected on the west side of Main Street between Jefferson and Madison Streets.

This is the report that was filed to get the area on the historical list. because of embilishing it with photos of the eras - it is divided into 4 parts.

The Also were instrumental in getting the Commercial District of downtown Culver on to the National Register of Historic Places list. The Plaque reads: Culver Commercial Historic District Has been placed on the National Register of Historic Places By the Unitied States Department of Interior 1900 Dedicated May 11, 1996

The Antiquarian and Historical Society created the Heritage Park on the corner of Main & Jefferson that was in past years an empty lot and the Texaco Service Station. They Also were instrumental in getting the Commercial District of downtown Culver on to the Historical list. Below is the plaque and the report filed to get the downtown on the historic register list and the plaque.
