Henry R. Bliss, 53 years old, secretary and treasurer of the Sinker-Davis Company since its reorganization twenty-five years ago, died at his home on North Meridian street yesterday morning, after an illness of almost five months.

He is survived by a wife and one son, Henry W. Bliss, also connected with the Slinker-Davis Company.

The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon, the burial will be private. Mr. Bliss was born in Weedsport, N. Y., on June 27, 1859. When a mere boy he went to Chicago.

He remained there until twenty-five years ago, when he came to Indianapolis to join the Sinker-Davis Company.

He was always active in causes that meant a larger and better Indianapolis. He was a director of the Commercial Club, a member of the Board of Trade and a vestryman at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. - The Indianapolis Star – 20 Nov 1912, Wed – Page 3
