1922 - Surveyors Notice

    Notice is hereby given that the undersigned, county surveryor of Marshall county, Indiana wiil at the request of Clavery H. DeFrees proceed on Saturday, September 2, 1922, at 9 o'clock a.m. to locate and relocate the corners for land and lots now owned by the following persons:
      Calvert H. DeFrees,
      Walter J. Behmer and wife Nora S.
      Hugh Smith
      Elza M. Cromley and Willam M. Hays
      Charles L Bernhard
      Ben F. Sharts
      Earl F Gutherie
      Harry Baughman etal
      George Stanton Green
      C. C. Durr
      Austin Druckermiller and wife Amanda
    All in section 21, townhip 32 north, range 1 east.

    Non resident owners of lands in said section who fail to meet me at the time above mentione, in compnay with Calvert H. DeFrees and defray or provide for defraying theri protion of the expense of said survey, will be returned to the county auditor as delinquent and such delinquency placed upon the tac duplicate for collection according to law

1922 - Mar 29 - H. Bachman, H. Marvin and Mr. Grant of Logansport, are building a cottage for themselves on Long Point, and one for C. H. DeFreese of South Bend in the same neighborhood.
    Hugh Smith of Logansport is building a cottage opposite the former Isadore Hessel cottage in the Long Point district.

    Described as follows:
      Lot number 14 and the east 5 feet of llot number 15 of "Second Ameded and Corrected Plat of Chadwick's subdivision of Long Point", in lot number 3 of fractional section 21, township 32 North, Range One East. Also Lot number 5 in Walter J. Behmer's Subdivision in Section 21, Township 32, North, Range One East.
    This cottage is fronting on State Road 17 and is located on Long Point and known as the Hugh Smith Cottage.

    This sale will be made at the office of the Trust Department of the National Bank of Logansport, Logansport, Indiana, at 2 P.M. CDT, Wednesday, June 20, 1956 to the high bider for not less than the appraised price.

    Open for inspection 2 to 4 p.m. CDT, June 18, 1956.

    The real estate will be sold subject to the 1956 taxes payable in 1957.

    Terms 10% down on day of sale; balance when deed and abstract are ready. Executor's deed will be given and proved by Cass Circiut Court.
