The Muesum and gift shop officialy opened on 2 October 2009.

It was noted that James Dickie II, who is an academy trust made the building available and stressed the need of a center to preserve CMA history. He laso provided ideas and staffing to prepare the museum for its opening.

It's purpose is:

  • To promote, preserve, promulgate, and interpret the history of the Acadmey
  • To provide an easy access for a vistor's center admissions and employment opportunities
  • To provide access for exploration of CMA history


There will be -
  • Rotating displays of artifacts from 1864 to the present day.
  • A movie room so one can view archival footage relating to CMA
  • Access to vintage issues of the yearbook 'Roll Call'
  • Access to the online Digital Vault
  • A gift shop in which to purchase CMA related items - coffee cups, sticker, memorailia, apparel etc.
  • A lounge to relax in, cold & hot beveage available
  • A person available to answer questions & possible do research or help with research needs
