Funeral for Otis Keith, 70 Lawton, will be at 2 p.m. Monday in Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home
Chapel.
Mr. Watkins died Friday at his home following a lengthy illness.
Burial with military honors will be in Post Cemetery, Fort Sill.
He was born April 11, 1930, in Otterbein, Ind., to Daniel and Mae James Watkins.
He grew up in Indiana.
He joined the U.S. Army in 1947. He served in the Korean conflict, Vietnam and three tours in
Germany. He retired May 1, 1867.
He married Frances Aline Harned on Jan 22, 1958, in Lawton.
Following retirement, he was employed as an insurance adjuster in Rockford, Ill., for four years.
After moving back to Lawton, he was employed by civil service and Northrop Aviation.
He was a member of Buffalo Sams RC Travel Club, VFW No. 5263 and the American Legion NO. 193.
He attended Centenary United Methodist and First United Methodist Churches.
Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son Otis Keith Watkins II and his wife Gina, Murfreesboro,
Tenn.; a brother James Watkins, Otterbein, Ind.; three sisters Elizabeth Watkins, Wilma Watkins
and Mable Dewey, all of Layfayette, Ind. and a grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

officiating.
Mrs. Watkins died Friday, July 21, 2006, in Lawton.
She was born June 21, 1928, in Lawton to Louis W. and Minnie C. Beasley Harned.
She attended Lawton schools and graduated from Lawton High School.
She owned and operated Southeast Realty for 23 years in Lawton where she w as a real estate agent.
She married Otis K. Watkins on Jan. 22, 1958 in Lawton. He preceded her in death on Aug. 4 2000.
She was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son Keith Watkins and wife Gina, Murfeesboro, Tenn.; a brother Don Harned, Oklahoma
City; two sisters: Pauline Caldwell, Lawton; and Pat Swanson and husband Paul, Weatherford; a
granddaughter, Kathleena Townley; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a b rother, Bill Harned; and a sister Christine Vaughn.
A special visitation will be held for family and friends from 1 to 3 p .m. at the funeral home.
