Karen A. Odom, 58, of Culver went home to be with Jesus on Oct. 20, 2025.

Karen is survived by her husband Greg Odom, son Andrew Odom, step-son Gregory (Leslie) Odom II, four sisters Sharon Mitchell (Brian) Cole, Lori Mitchell Bowen, Sara Mitchell (John) Quisenberry, and Marianne Mitchell (Randy) Vaughn, five brothers Robert (Crystal) Mitchell, David (Kelly) Mitchell, Wayne (Jamie) Mitchell, Warren (Suann) Mitchell and Darren (Tabitha) Mitchell, many nieces and nephews and three great-nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, three babies, and a nephew Nathan Mitchel Bowen.

A time to gather with family will be held on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the Pretty Lake Trinity United Methodist Church, Plymouth, IN.

Funeral services will be officiated by Rev. Marybeth Scheibel and Pastor Dave Williams will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Burial will follow in Culver Masonic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pretty Lake Trinity United Methodist Church.

Karen A. Odom, 58, of Culver went home to be with Jesus on October 20, 2025.

Karen was one of 10 children born to Robert Mitchell and Helen Van Wie of Galatia, IL.

Karen welcomed Jesus into her heart at an early age.

In 1988 she met Greg Odom, 3 months later they joined their hearts in marriage, a love that has endured for more than 37 years.

Karen was always actively involved in every church she attended, including being a Sunday School teacher at different times.

Karen was always keeping an eye out for a good gospel concert she and Greg could attend. She enjoyed lunches out with friends and spending time with her sisters when they would plan a trip to Culver, but mostly just hanging out with Greg, Andrew and her loveable Rigby.

Karen and Greg owned and operated the Odom Funeral Home for over 20 years.
