He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; four children, Patricia Ann Smith, Kent Overmyer, Steven Overmyer, and Michael (Debbie) Overmyer, seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was born October 13, 1927 in Culver to Dewey & Mabel (Mills) Overmyer.

On August 26, 1948 in Carrollton, Kentucky he married Jeasnett Thomet; she survives along four children, Patricia Ann Smith, Kent Overmyer, Steven Overmyer, and Michael (Debbie) Overmyer. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
