John A. Cleveland, publisher, founded printing press company
Culver , Ind. -- Services for John A. Cleveland, 75, retired founder and president of Indiana Press Inc. and
a newspaper publisher, will be at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 20 in Culver Academy Memorial Chapel, with calling there
from 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery.
He died Sept. 15.
Mr. Cleveland had been publisher of The Culver Citizen and general manager of Culver Press Inc. He also had been co-publisher
and owner of Indiana Business magazine.
The founder of Indiana Press Inc., a printing press company, he served as president until 1985.
Previously, he was publisher of North Shore Trading Post, a weekly newspaper in Chicago.
He was a 1950 graduate of the University of New Mexico and a member of Sigma Chi fraternity.
Mr. Cleveland was a member of Lake Maxinkuckee Association, Culver Antiquarian and Historical Society, Marshall County
Historical Society and the Maxinkuckee Yacht Club.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Culver Antiquarian and Historical Society, the Culver Fire Department or the
Culver -Union Township EMS.
Survivors include his wife,
Patricia D. Devine
Cleveland children Peter Cleveland, Leslie Hague, Suzanne Bartley brother David B. Cleveland and nine
grandchildren.
