Mrs. Goldie L. Hinkle, 69. 318 West Marmont Street, passed away at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 23, 1973, at the Parkvicw Hospital, Plymouth. after a brief illness. She was taken to the hospital early Sunday morning by the Bonine Ambulance after becoming ill at her home.

She was born on March 11. 1904, in Pulaski County to Jonas and Viola (Decker) Good. She had lived in Culver since 1929, coming from Hammond.

She was employed at the Tailor Shop at Culver Military Academy for thirteen years. and more recently had operated. with her husband, Hinkle's Ideal Cleaners in Culver, until their retirement this year.

She attended the Jordan Baptist Church, near Argos, and was a member of the Maxinkuckee Re bekah Lodge.

She was married to Henry W. Hinkle on June 15, 1958. He survives, with four sons; Shirley Carter, Niles, Michigan Ernest Carter, Culver, Marion Carter, Rochester, and Donald Carter. Pensacols , Florida; one daughter, Mrs. Harold (Phyllis) Adams. Argos; one step-daughter, Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Flora, Culver; one sister, Mrs. Frances Marshall, Danville. Illinois; two brothers. Elgie Good, Culver, Harley Good, Virginia Beach, Virginia; twenty grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The Maxinkuckee Rebekah Lodge conducted Memorial services at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, September 24 at the Bonine Funeral Home, Culver.

Services were held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25, at funeral home, with Rev. Arley C Mitcham, pastor of Jordan Baptist Church. officiating. Burial followed in Culver Masonic Cemeter

Ernest CARTER, aged 40, of South Bend, a former resident of Kewanna, died in the Healthwin hospital at South Bend at 11:35 pm on July 20, 1940 after a lengthy illness. He was the son of William Marion Carter of Grass Creek and Mabel (née Norris) of Kewanna.

He was a switchman for the R.R. in Hammond and then was engaged in the trucking and later the cafe business at Kewanna with his father prior to the time he moved to South Bend to reside.

His wife was Goldie GOOD.

Survivors are the wife, five children, Shirley CARTER, Phyllis CARTER, Ernest CARTER, Jr., Donald CARTER, and Marion CARTER, II, all of South Bend; two sisters, Sadie (CARTER) HOESEL, Culver and Mrs. Phyllis (CARTER) BURK, Bethlehem, Pa., and a brother, Frederick CARTER, Culver.

The last rites will be held from the Baptist church in Kewanna at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with interment in the Odd Fellows cemetery at Kewanna.

The body will lie in state at the Kewanna Baptist church from noon Wednesday until the hour of the last rites.
