He served as a city councilman in Kokomo and was Howard County assessor for 20 years retiring
in 1982
He was the president of the Indiana County Assessors Association and Indiana County Officials
Association
Mr Keller also was chairman of the State Assessors Association Legislative Committee and chairman
of the Howard County Selective Service Committee for 20 years
He was a recipient of the Sagamore of the Wabash award had been a counselor for Boy Scouts in
Howard County and a sponsor of the YMCA
A World War II veteran he worked for Continental Steel Delco Ramey and the Keller Coal and Oil Co
Mr Keller was a former member of Grace United Methodist Church in Kokomo and a member of Howard
Masonic Lodge 93 Scottish Rite Elks Lodge Eagles Lodge and raternal Order of Police He also was a
member of United Commerical Travelers Veterans of foreign War and the American Legion
Surviving are his wife Joan L Keller of Kokomo a son Greg Keller of Orlando Fla a daughter M Kay

KELLER, JOAN L., 73, of Clearwater, died Saturday (May 27, 1995) at Morton Plant Hospital, Clearwater.
She was born in Butler, Ind., and came here in 1989 from Kokomo, Ind., where she worked as deputy assessor
for Howard County.
She was a Methodist and member of the Elks Ladies Auxiliary, Kokomo.
Survivors include a son, Greg, Newnan, Ga.; a daughter, M. Kay Aleshire, Apopka; a sister, D. Janet Litwitz,
Largo; a grandson; and three great-grandchildren. E. James
