On - 20 January 1911 the building which probably housed the library as well as
another business was purchased by Schuyler C. Schilling. The deed is as follows:

This Indenture Witnesseth, that Lottie A. Voreis and George W. Voreis, her Husband, Of
Marshall County, in the State of Indiana Convey and Warrant to Schuyler C. Schilling of
Marshall county in the State of Indiana for the sum of One Thousand Two hundred ($1200.00)
dollars the following Real Estate in Marshall County, in the State of Indiana, to-wit:
Lot Number Eight (8) and the North Six (6) Feet of Lot number Seven (7) of the original plat
of the town of Uniontown, later called Marmont and now called Culver City, Marshall county,
Indiana, including all appurtances thereunto belonging.
In Witness Where of the said Lottie A. Voreis and George W. Voreis, her husband has hereunto set
their hand and seal their hand and seal; to this 18th day of January A.D. 1911. Lottie A. Voreis,
George W. Voreis.
State of Indiana Marshall County, SS: Before Me, W. O. Osborn a Notary Public in and for said County
and State, this 18th day of January 1911 personally appeared Lottie A. Voreis and George W. Voreis,
the husband and acknowledged the execution of the annexed deed. Witness my hand and official seal.

Gentlemen:
I have examined the Abstract of title presented by Lottie Voris with & application for a loan
on the following described real estate in Marshall County, in the State of Indiana to-wit - - Lot
8 and 6 feet off the north side of lot 7 un Uniontown now called Marmont.

The Abstract in this case is not altogether satisfactory. If an affidavit can be furnished showing
that our applicant and her immediate grantors have had, open, notorious, adverse and undisputed
possession for more then twenty years, we will accept the abstract as showing fee simple title in
the applicant subject to a mortgage for $250 given to M. J. Ehrlich rec. Aug. 30., 1892 in mort.
rec. 16 page 375.
We enclose the proper papers for execution.

Original Plat of Uniontown now Marmont, Indiana
Uniontown is pleasantly situated in the S.W.1-4 of Sec. 16-Tp. 32 N.R. 1 E. It is laid out in such
a manner that it presents to the eye a view of Lake Maxenkuckee and is surrounded with as good
a country as can be found in Northern Indiana. It has the advantage of three State and two County
roads running through it. The lots are all 66 feet in width by 82 1-2 in 'breadth'. The streets are
all 66 feet in width. The alleys are 16 1-2.
Platted June 8' 1844. by Bayless L. Dickson Proprietor. Lots number from 1 to 51 inclusive. Left for

Resurvey and New Plat of Uniontown (Now Marmont)
Uniontown resurveyed April 24' 1851 by Thomas K. Houghton, Proprietor, as follows: - 'Uniontown
is situated in the S. corner of 16-32-1.E. Marshall County, Indiana, the S.E. corner of said
section is the commencing point of the town plat; the streets are all of a width being 66 ft.
the alleys are 16 1-2 ft.; the lots are 66 feet in front and 99 feet back, so planned by the
original survey. All lines running North and South bear N. 0 degrees 10 min E. and those that
run E and W. bear S. 89 degrees E. The magnetic variation at this date is 5 degrees 10 min. E.
This survey made and acknowledged by Thos. K. Houghton Proprietor April 24' 1851. Recorded Plat
Book No. 1 page 44. Recd. for record June 9' 1857. Lots run from 1 to 66 inclusive

Samuel J. Wiseman being first duly sworn according to law upon his oath says that he was well acquainted
with one James Gray, late of Marshall County, Indiana, deceased. That said James Gray is the identical
person, who on June 29' 1878 sold by warranty deed to Clara Buswell Lot No. 8 and a part of Lot No. 7 in.
Uniontown (now called Marmont) Indiana. That at said date that said James Gray was a single or unmarried
man.
And affiant was also well acquainted with the said Clara Buswell who likewise conveyed said real estate by
warranty deed to Lottie A. Voreis on the 13' day of October 1879, and that at the date of the last named
conveyance the said Clara Buswell was a single or unmarried woman.
The first of said conveyance being recorded in Deed Record No. 19 at page 435, and the second in Deed
Record No. 22 at page 261 of
the records of Marshall county, Indiana.
