J. Barrett IRVINE, 64, Culver, died Friday afternoon in the Palms of Pasedena hospital in Gulfport, Fla., following a two-month illness.

He was born March 8, 1909, in Rocheter to Harrison and Grace BARRETT IRVINE. He had owned and operated the Culver City drug store from 1948 until his retirement in 1970. Since then he had spent the winter months in Florida.

He was a member of the Rochester First Christian church, Culver-Union Township Chamber of Commerce, Culver Lions club, LaPorte Elks lodge, Indiana Pharmaceutical association and the National Association of Retail Druggists.

He was married April 29, 1938 to C. Lucille HOESEL, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Aileen SHULTZ) NOOE, Eden, N.C.; the mother, Mrs. Grace MARTIN, Rochester, and five grandchildren.

Rites will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Bonine funeral home at Culver with the Rev. Maurice KESSLER officiating.

Burial will be in the Culver Masonic cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today. - Monday, January 7, 1974 Rochester Sentinel






Services were held Monday at Eden, N.C., for Mrs. C. Lucile IRVINE of Eden, former Rochester resident, who died Saturday morning in that city. Cremation followed.

Mrs. Irvine was the daughter of J. L. and Cora HOESEL of Leiters Ford. Her husband, who preceded in death, was Barrett IRVINE, nephew of the late A. J. BARRETT of Rochester.

She owned and operated the Schultz drug store in this city for many years, where the Sunflower Shop now is located.

Mrs. Irvine also served as vice chairman of the Fulton County Republican Central Committss. The Irvines later owned the Culver City drug store before their retirement.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Aileen) NOOE, Eden, N.C.; five grandchildren, and one brother, Everett HOESEL, Culver. - Tuesday, December 7, 1976 rochester sentinel
