J. Barrett IRVINE, 64, Culver, died Friday afternoon in the Palms of Pasedena hospital in
Gulfport, Fla., following a two-month illness.
He was born March 8, 1909, in Rocheter to Harrison and Grace BARRETT IRVINE. He had owned and
operated the Culver City drug store from 1948 until his retirement in 1970. Since then he had
spent the winter months in Florida.
He was a member of the Rochester First Christian church, Culver-Union Township Chamber of
Commerce, Culver Lions club, LaPorte Elks lodge, Indiana Pharmaceutical association and the
National Association of Retail Druggists.
He was married April 29, 1938 to C. Lucille HOESEL, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Charles (Aileen SHULTZ) NOOE, Eden, N.C.; the mother, Mrs.
Grace MARTIN, Rochester, and five grandchildren.
Rites will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Bonine funeral home at Culver with the Rev. Maurice
KESSLER officiating.
Burial will be in the Culver Masonic cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from
2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today. - Monday,
