    Ovicer COllier SHilling '19. June 23 1884 SOuth Bend, Ind., after an illness.

    A longtime Culver buisnessman, Mr. Shilling was a geistered pharmacist and the proproetor of Culver City Drug Store.

    In 1945 he moved to RIverside, Calif., where he was invovled in real estate and residental developements.

    After his wife Ruth's death in 1960 he returned to Culver, where he lived until his death.

    His son Cpl. JOhn RIchagrd SHilling '43 was killed in action in Italy in. 1944

    Mr. SHilling was a life member of the Culver Legion and the CMA Alumi Association and director emeritus of the board of directors of Culver's State Exchange Bank.

    SUrviving are two sisters.

    Ruth M. Shilling, Former Culver Resident, Dies

    Mrs. Ruth McCullough Shilling, age 59, wife of Oliver C. Shilling died Saturday afternoon at her home at Riverside, Calif. following a long illness.

    Mr. and Mrs. Shilling resided for many years in Culver where he owned and operated the Culver City Drug Store befoer they moved to California 15 years. ago.

    Since moving to the West Coast, Mr. Shilling has engaged in the real estate business. He is a director of the State Exchange Bank of Culver.

    Thier only child John Richard lost his life in Italy in 1945 during Worll War II.

    Surviving with her husband Oliver, is her mother, Mrs. Etta McCullough of Riverside.

    The body will arrive in Culver Wednesday evening and friends may call at the Easterday Funeral Home after 8 p.m. Wednesday

    The body will be taken to the Methodist church at 1:30 p.m. until time for the Christian Science service which will be held there at 2:30 o'clock.

    John F. Roos of the Culver Military Academy faculty will read the service. Burial will be at the Culver Masonic Cemetery. - Jun 15 1960 - Citizen.
