    Walter W. Woods, 72, of 1704 Napoleon, died Wednesday after a lengthy illness

    He was born in Culver July 21, 1904, a son of Lemuel and Rosetta Jefferies

    He was a Valpo resident most of his life and was employed as a body shop fo reman at the former Marimon Motors agency.

    On Dec 5, 1927 he married Ethel Marie Criswell who died.

    He married Mabel Henning April 5, 1958 in Hobart and she survives.

    Also survuvung are tow sons: Waldo of Valparaison and Larry of Kouts; two daughters Sandra DUncan of South Haven and Myrna Rae at home; a borther, Elmer of Burket; two sisters: Edna Groves of LaPorte and Mildred Fout of Knox; nine grandchildren and three great grand-children.

    Services will be Saturday at Bartholomew Funeral Home with burial in Graceland Cemetery.

    Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 9 p.m. Friday

VALPARAISO - Mable Henning Woods, 77, of Valparaiso, died Tuesday, March 17, 1992, at Chesterton Health Care Center.

She was born Oct. 3, 1914, in Lake County, the daughter of Paul and Ada A. (Case) Henning.

A Valparaiso resident, she was formerly of Crown Point and Hobart.

She was a retired school teacher at Trinity Lutheran School in Hobart and was a former piano teacher in the area.

She was a member and past regent of Rachel Campbell Willcox Chapter DAR

. On April 5, 1958, in Hobart, she married Walter Woods, who preceded her in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Myrna Chambers of Valparaiso; a step daughter, Sandra Duncan of Valparaiso; two step-sons, Waldo W. Woods of Valparaiso and Larry Woods of Kouts; two grandchildren; and eight step-grandchildren.

Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Faith Memorial Lutheran Church, Valparaiso; the Rev. Hans Boehringer officiating; burial in Graceland Cemetery; visitation 3-8 p.m. Thursday at Bartholomew Funeral Home, Valparaiso; DAR service 7 p.m. Thursday;
