1913 - Dec 25 - Prospects Are Brilliant.
C. D. Snoeberger, president of the Plymouth Electric Light and Power Co., was in town this week: He
has 27 men at work on the line from Plymouth to Walkerton, now half done, and with the present
favorable weather the construction goes rapidly.
He expects to begin work in Culver by February 1 and to complete the erection of poles| and the
stringing of wires here by March 1.
This plan, of course, is contingent upon the condition of the ground.
We take few chances in asserting that Culver will be lighted by electricity early in the season of
1914.

1913 - AN EARLY INSTALLATION OF ELECTRIC LIGHTS IS ASSURED
It will be good news to Culver to learn that the Plymouth Electric Light and Power Co.
has, since its rehabilition as a state utility charge, been able to sell the bonds
necessary to provide the means for extending its operations, and that Culver, as a
result, will be supplied with a light and power current during the next few months.
The suspended work on the line to Walkerton and North Liberty is now in progress, and
as soon as this is completed the line to Culver will be the next step.
