P.A. Wickizer Dies Suddenly; Funeral Today
The community was shocked Monday morning when it learned that Perry Alburtis Wickizer, well known merchant, had died suddent;y early that morning of heart trouble. He was taken ill the day before.
Mr. Wickizer, who was 78 years of ge was b orn in Marshall county and had spent his entire life in this viciinity.
Twent-eight yearts ago he moved to town and opened the Wickizer Variety store, which he has operated continuously ever since. At one time he handled furniture in connection with other merchandise, but later discontinued the line and for the past few years has had a grocery department in the stor, in which Mrs. Wickizer also conducts a millinery and dress shop.
Mr. Wickizer was a member of the Culver Masonic lodge and the Methodist episcopal Church
Those who Survive
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Hattie Wickizer; on daughter Mrs. Esther Davis of Indianapolis; two sons. Enest of Fort Wayne and Ralph of Chicago; one sister Mrs. P. A. Barnes, Argos; and one brother, Victor, of Denver, COl.
Funeral services are being held this afternoon at the Methodist Church with Rev. Richar Penguilly officating.
Burial will be in the Maple Grove cemetery at Argos, where the Mason will had charge of the burial rites.
