Shirley James

Shirley Rae James, 83, of Kewanna, passed away at 4:58 p.m., Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, at Millers Merry Manor in Logansport surrounded by her family and friends.

She was born Jan. 16, 1941 in Logansport.

On Sept. 11, 1959, she married James H. James. He survives.

Shirley retired from Community State Bank in Kewanna. She attended Fletchers Lake Church and enjoyed doing crafts.

Survivors include her husband, James H. James; sons Denzil Lee James (Mary) and Randy Ray James (Leah); brother Larry Cunningham; grandchildren Loren James (Andrea), Larrissa Newman (Stephen), Luella Smolek (Kevin), Christopher James (Cara) and Ashlee James; and great-grandchildren, Tristen, Evalet, Mia, Sophia and one on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Loren and Guyla (Willoughby) Cunningham.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Fulton County Humane Society.

Services will be at 12 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2024 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Metzger Chapel, 123 E. Main St., Kewanna with Pastor David Sommers officiating.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

Burial will follow at Citizens I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Rochester Sentinel Aug. 12, 2024.
