The year 1953 and Fbruary in particular has a special significance for Earl Foreman,
proprietor of the Culver firm that bears his name, and for Mrs. Foreman, and members
of the staff, - - Mrs. Lorraine Speyer and Mrs. Edna Henderson. for this month marks

Many changes have occurred since 1928, both in the community and on the business and
economic levels, and Mr. Foreman. who is an avid student as well as a successful
businessman, has followed them with keen interest.
He remembers the lean years of the early '30's and the shortages, of the war years. In
pursuing business interests, he has not neglected community relationships and has been
associated with civic community, and church activities.

the firm of Falvey and Foreman. Six years, after the partnership was formed, the firm decided to open
a store in Culver.
It was thus that Mr. Foreman came to this community to establish the store under the name of Falvey
and Foreman in February, 1928. In 1936 Mr. Foreman purchased the interest of his partner, Mr. Falvey,
and since that time the business has been known as Foreman's Store.
