    HENRY PECHER DEAD

    Had Suffered More Than Fifteen Months After Paralytic Stroke.

    Henry William Pecher, age 70, was relieved by death from a period of suffering which had lasted for over fifteen months, last Saturday morning at about six o'clock.

    Funeral services were held Monday afternoon and interment was made in the Culver cemetery. in January 1923, Mr. Pecher fell and fractured his hip. He never fully recovered from the effects of this fall and in October, 1924, he was stricken with paralysis. Since that time, he has been confined to his bed in a helpless condition.

    Mr. Pecher was born in Germany Sept. 3rd, 1855.

    He was united in marriage to Anna E. Heine on November 1st, 1881. In 1884, they came 10 the United States and settled in Milwaukee where they lived for six years. A fifteen year period was spent in Chicago after which they moved to Culver in the summer of 1905.

    Here he engaged in business following his occupation as tinsmith until 1919.

    During his time in Culver, he gained many friends who sorrow in his departure.

    He was a member of the Grace Reformed church.

    He leaves a widow, an older brother and two sisters. - Citizen - Feb 17 1926

    Mrs. Anna Pecher.
      Mrs. Anna Pecher, aged 81, of the Haven Hubbard home, near New Carlisle, this county, died at 6:15 a. m.today in the home after six months' illness.

      She was born in Germany March 16, 1860, and came here four years ago from Culver, Ind.

      She was the widow of Henry Pecher. Surviving is a brother, Henry A. Heine, of Culver. She was a member of the Evangelical & Reformed church.

      Friends may call in the A. M. Russell chapel Saturday night and until 10 a. m. Monday when the funeral and burial rites will take place in Mason cemetery, Culver. W. A. Tabbert, head of the home, will officiate. - - South Bend Tribune Oct 3, 1941


    Final Rites Held for Mrs. Anna Pecher
      Mrs. Anna Pecher, age 81 years, died Friday morning at the Haven-Hubbard Home in New Carlisle, Ind., where she had been living for several years.

      About 10 days ago she fell during the night, breaking several ribs, and remaining on the floor for several hours before she was found, it is stated.

      Mrs. Pecher had lived in Culver for about 35 years before going to New Carlisle.

      Surviving are a brother, Henry Heine of Culver, and two nieces.

      Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at the Heine home, Rev. Tabbert of New Carlisle, officiating.

      Interment was in the Culver Masonic cemetery.
