1979 - Jul 19 - Culver - Tom Sturdevant is back in Culver from Brandenton, Fla. During his stay Tom is working in the produce department at Afford's IGA Store here, he will remain until winter weather sets in, then he’ll head for Florida’s sunshine

AIford’s Celebrates First Anniversary

Culver - The first ane anniversary of Alford 's IGA Family Center was celebrated at the Culver last week. Customers were served a piece of birthday cake by Mrs. Tom Sturdevant.

Dave Alford stated that he’s pleased with Culver and surrounding area residents who have made his first year such a success and is looking forward to many more years of serving them - - July 26, 1979
