Charles Rhodes and Wife To Tour Europe, Russia<

Mr and Mrs. Charles RHodes owenr-operators of CUlver's spacious Park N SHop supermarkery will depart nrxt week on Thursday, June 11, with 20 Indiana supermarkert operatiors, food wholesalers and brokers from the Indianapolis airport on the first leg of a 21-day People-to-People Goodwill journey which will take them to
England, Belgium, Sweden, Russia, Hungary, Poland and Germany

Meetings, interviews, visitations, and receptions are scheduled through out the 21 days as the Indiana citizens take part in meetings with United States and foreign governement authorities and mee representatives of their occupational counterparts in Europeean supermarkets and whoelsale warehouses

The purpose of their visit wull be to learn, in person, methods and working conditions, and in general, attempt to improve understanding and relations between American and the people abroad.

The entire mission is arrangged and designed to implement the aims and purposes of the United States cultural visitiation echange program and the National People-to-People Organization. Heading the Indiana delegation is Dr. Eric C. Oesterle, Purdue University



Civically Mr. Rhodes is a member of the Lions Club, Rotary Club, Board of trustees of the Methodist church, and South Bend Grocers Association.



Mrs. Rhodes is a member of the WOmens Business and Professional Club.

The Rhodes have three sons, one of whom is in business with his father. - 3 Jun 1964 - Citizen
