1939 - six acres of land on the west shore of the Lake Makinckuckee have been improved
by Harry Medbourn who is offering the area for sale as a hotel site

1976 - The Pennsylvania Railroad
track was abandoned and lot owners on South Street and the west side of the lake purchased
the right-of-way between their property and the lake.
The
Maxinkuckee West Side Property Owners, Inc. was formed to procure and buy
up the railroad prperty along the shore of Lake Maxinkuckee from Plymouth St.
to the end of South Street ending at West Shore. Dr.

approve a Subdivision Replat of four (4) lots into one (1).
Property Lot No. 6 The North Half of Lot No 5 and the South 10 feet of Lot No 7
in Medbourn and Phillips Addition, and a Part of the Southwest Quarter of Section
21, Township 32 North, Range 1 East, all in the Town of Culver , Marshall County,
Indiana. And notices sent to the petitioner and to the owners of property affected
by the petition. A hearing upon this petition will be held in the Municipal Building,
200 East Washington Street, Culver , IN, at which time you may appear either in
person, present in writing, represented by agent, or by attorney, and present any
reasons which you may have to the granting or denying of this petition. You are
requested to prepare your case, in detail, and present all evidence relating to
