M & M Restaurant 1959 - 1972, May /Jun Mildred Ditmire & Marcella White
    Mildred V. Ditmire first started out as owning the 'Grill' across the street at what was or is 110 S. Main she bought the buisness about 1956 from Donald Priest. Upon selling the establishment across the street moving to this location she launched the buisness and the M & M with her sister Marcella White and remained in business until about May/June of 1972.


December 23, 1959 The M & M Restaurant-Grill opens in the Osbcrn Building on the south side of Main Street.

The the 20 Jan. 1960 issue of the Culver citizen bore the Grand Opening annoucement.


Culver's outstanding new M & M Restaurant, operated by two sisters widely known for their culinary ability and exceptional food - Mrs. Mildred Ditmire and Mrs. Marcella white --




The M & M is having its grand opening on Saturday. Free coffee and doughnuts will be served to all visitors.

Paul White, talented son of the co-owner, will preside at the electric organ from 11 until 2 and from 5:30 to 8 p.m.; the again on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. courtesy of Shemberger's Music Store at Plymouth.

Mrs. Ditmire's daughter, Mrs. Doris Brenner, of South Bend; Mrs. Essie Buler, Mrs. Wilma Zechiel, Mrs. Helen Altman, Mrs. pearl Stockamn, Mrs. Lulu Aley and Mrs. Elsie Wagner.
