Dr. D. W. Bieker has taken over the dental practice of Dr. George F. Hebricks in Culver

Dr. Bieker, a native of Hammond, was graduated from the Indiana School of Dentristry in 1928. He practiced in Hammond from that year until 1943 when he entered military service in the dental corps.

During World War II Dr. Bieker served on the East Coast receiving his discharge in 1946. He re-enlisted in 1948 and was assigned to the West Coast and in the South Pacific untill 1953. Before coming to Culver he practiced in LaPorte.

Dr. Bieker and the former Miss Irene Wilson of Maxinkuckee were married last September.

Shortly they will move into the home at 435 South Ohio Street recently vacated by Max Wntz who now resides in Star City

Culver's New dentist is a member of the Elks and XI Psi Phi, national prefessional dental fraternity, and his hobbies are bowling, hunting and fishing.

Dr. Bieker Culver Dentist Dies Tuesday

Dr. David W. Bieker, 63, died Tuesday, July 22 at 10:20 am. at the Pulaski County Memorial Hospital following a short illness.

He had practiced dentistry in Culver for 15 years.

Dr. Bieker was bom July 1, 1906 in Hammond, Indiana to Henry and Mary Bohling Bieker.

He was married to Irene N. Wilson on September 4, 1954 in Culver. He was a graduate of Indiana University School of Dentistry. He was a member of the W A. Fleet American Legion Post 103; Marshall County Dental Association; Fathers Auxiliary of VFW BTOE and a veteran and the Korean war served as a dentist.

Survivmg with his one son, Daniel C. Bieker of Hartford, Conn.; two daughters, Mrs. Ann Franklin of Lakeland, Florida and Miss Gretchen Bieker at home; three brothers, Andrew Bieker of Munster, Henry Bieker of Hammond, William Bieker of LaFeria, Texas; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Schrader, Lexington, Ky., Mrs. Wilma Donaldson, Louisville, Ky, Mrs. Marie Carter, Calumet City, Illinois; seven grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church with Rev. Joseph A. Lenk ofriciatinig. Burial will be in the Culver Masonic Cemetery where the American Legion will conduct graveside services The rosary will be recided at 8:00 p m. Friday at the Easterday-Bonine Funeral Home where friends may call after 7:00 p.m. Thursday. - THURSDAY, JULY 24, 1969 citizen
