Dr. Lawrence W. Reese
South Bend Physician, To Open Culver Office
Dr. Lawrence W. Reese of South Bend will take over the office of Dr. Robert L. Witham,
who has announced that he will discontinue his practice here on July 11.
Dr. Reese was in Culver on Monday to complete plans for starting his practice. Accompanying
him was his father, a native of Greenville in Floyd County, Ind.
Dr. Reese will open his Culver office on July 15. He plans to close his practice in South
Bend this week. He and his family plan to move here as soon as they can find a home. He has
been practicing for the past two years in South Bend.
The new Culver physician is a graduate of one of the largest medical schools on the West Coast,
The College of Medical Evangelism, at Loma Linda, Calif. He is a native of California, having
spent his early, life around Placerville and Auburn.
The Reeses have three sons, David, age four; Donald, 18 months; and Dennis, four months.
Dr. Reese has been deputy coroner of St. Joseph County.
He is a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, the American Medical Association, the
Indiana Medical Association, the St. Joseph County Medical Association. and is a diplomat of
the National Board.
Dr. Witham and his family will move to Indianapolis where he has accepted a residency
appointment at the Indiana University Medical Center. He will begin his new work on August 1.
