Clifford C. Waite
Clifford Waite was born in Pulaski county and moved to Culver in 1914. He
started a garage business in the old livery stable {214 E. Jefferson McLane's}
and in 1921 moved into the Medbourn building across the street {probably the
recap-building that burnt}.
Then in succession he was associated with A. M. Roberts in the
plumbing business, |

opened a sheet metal shop of his own, and then a garage.
He spent 1927 in Phoenix, Ariz., and on his return to Culver opened a plumbing
and heating shop, the business in which he is now engaged.
1938 - March 28, Clifford C. Waite has opened his own plumbing shop in the rear of
the
Schweidler Cafe
building across the street from the Lake Shore Garage
Clifford C. Waite Dies Monday At Age od 65
Clifford C. Waite, age 65, died Monday evening at his home on Liberty Street
after an illness of one year.
Mr. Waite was bonr in Starke county near Ora on May 27 1889 and spent his
entire life in this communinty.
He Operated a garage in Culver for several years and since 1929 had been in
the plumbing business.
Surviving relatives include his widow Anna; two daughters Mrs. June Moore
Zionzville, and Mrs. Martha Wells Ohio; four sons: Victor South Bend; Malcom
Los Angles Calif; Lamarr, Culver and Robert at home; a sister Mrs. Rosa Seltzer
Mishawaka; four brothers: Lewis Springdale Wash.; Floyd, Oliver and Forrest all
of Ora.
Mr. Waite was a member of the Maxinkuckee I.O.O.F. and attended the Culver Methodist
church where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Kendall E.
Sands, pastor of the church, officiating.
Burial will be at the Burr Oak Cemetery. - Apr. 27, 1955 - Citizen
