The City Tavern by later information was located on the East side of Main
Street.
1934 Dec 5 A. B. Long Buys Out Alumbaugh's Business
A. B. Long has purchased the recreation room operated by Bert Alumbaugh and will
open the Culver City Tavern in that place tomorrow, announcement of which is on
another page of this issue.
Mr. Alumbaugh and family leave Friday for Chicago where he has a position with a
rokerage firm.

A. B. Long
...had applied for the renewal of their licenses to sell beer. All licenses
expire on November 15tth, requiring new applications and review by the county license board
1937, Nov. 17 - 1962 - Long Tavern Moves - Culver City Taver operated
by A. B. Long, has moverd from it former quarters to the
Warner building across the
street. As soon as all installations have been completed Mr. Long plans to serve
regular meals featuring home cooking.

1956 Burglars Break Into Local Tavern Town
Marshal Donald Mikesell reports that the Culver City Tavern, owned by Joe Scott, was into sometime between
11:35 last night and 7:30 this morning.
Entry was made by removing a small screen and window.
Sixty dollars in bills and change were taken from the cash register and Mr. Scott believed that some cigarettes
had also been taken.
1958-Suspend License Of Parker's Local Tavern
The Culver City Tavern, located between Dean Rans' Corner Tavern and Kline's appliance store
on the west side of South Main Street, is closed temporarily because of violations of the
State Alcoholic Beverage Act.
Bert Parker, formerly of Logansport, is the owner and operator of the establishment which has
changed hands quite a few times in recent years.
It is alleged that the Indiana Alcoholic Beverage Commission, in suspending Parker's two-way
beer and wine license for a month, did so because of sales to minors and other infractions of
the law.
1958 - Dec 17 - BERT PARKER'S TAVERN REOPENS AFTER MONTH'S SUSPENSION OF LICENSE
Bert Parker's Culver City Tavern on Main Street was permitted to open its doors again
last Wednesday morning. The place was closed down for a month by the Indiana Alcoholic
Beverage Commission for allegedly selling beer to minors.
