1913 - February 6, 1913 Jesse Crabb and Roy Warner have bought the Beck furniture stock which they are closing out preparatory to occupying the room as a movie theatre.

1913 - Mar 20 - The Star Theater was opened Monday night by Crabb & Warner. Three reels are run at each performance

The 1914 Sanborn map shows the location. and the quips below gives the name.


1914 - 12 Mar chauncey Menser has quit the barber shop to become an amusement caterer. He has bought a half interest in the picture show -

1914 - 6 Aug. - Crabb & Menser have sold their engine and dynamo and will use the Electric Light Company's current in their theater

1916- Feb 24 — Jesse Crabb has bought the interest of his partner, Chauncey Menser, in the Star Theatre

1916 - March 16 George Speyer has bought a half interest in the Star Theater

1916 - Apr 6 - George Speyer has sold back hisinterest in the picture show to Jess Crabb

1917 - feb 1 Urias Menser will this spring put up a cement block building on the lot between the Star Theater and Easterday's for the use of M. V. Robinson proprietor of the Star. It will extend back to the alley, and will be modern with a large recessed lobby, inclined floor, steel operating booth, and ventilating fans.

1919 - Jul 2 - Martin and Schrimpsher have bought the Star Theatre on Main Street. (Ten, Twentyand Tthiry Years ago - The Culver Citizen Wed, Jul 05, 1939_
