1939, - October 25 - Dan Weirick has bought 85 feet of the south end of Earl Mishler's property at the outlet and is planning to build a cabin on the site, which faces the stream.

This was to have been small grocery store that once served passangers traveling on the Vandalia railroad line just north of Long Point. The building was later converted into a private home that is there today. The Grocery store in the background
