John H. Bramfeld Jr. has bww appointed meal sales manager at the Swift & Co. soybean and feed mill here, it was announced by C. D. Whitaker, manager.

Bramfeld succeeds Thomas J. Nolan Jr. who has been transferred to Frankfort, In., in a similar position.

Bramfeld started with Swift in the Chicago office in 1950 - Des Moines Register Nov 16, 1958


John Bramfeld,
John Bramfeld, 67, a member of the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, died Saturday at his home in the Beverly neighborhood of Chicago.

Mr. Bramfeld, a trader for 35 years, also was an active horseman and a motorcyclist.

Survivors include his wife, Agnes; two sons, John and Mark; three daughters, Ellen, Anna and Sarah; a sister; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday at Kosary Funeral Home, 9837 S. Kedzie Ave., Evergreen Park, and 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic Church, Culver, Ind. Mass will be said at 1 p.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's.

Mr. Bramfield was self-employed. He was born Aug. 14, 1926, in Chicago and was a Culver resident for 27 years.

On June 18, 1949 in Chicago he married Agnes A. Wiley.

She survies with three daughters: Ellen Fryzel of Chicago, Anna Bramfield of West Chester, Pa. and Sara Gedrinas of Franklinville, N.J.; two sons:" John F. of Champagne, Ill. and Mark G. of Aurora, Ill; 11 grandchildren; and a sister Joan Anderso of Fort Wayne Fla.

He was a member of St. Mary's of the Lake Catholic church and a retired member of Chicago Board of Trades Stocks and Commodity futures.

Services will be at 1 p.m. in the church.

Burial will be in Wahingrton Cemetery, Culver.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 11:30 to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the church whjere a prayer service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday
