1900 - John Murry plot

1908 - April 6 - John H. Murray has sold 25 acres at the south end of the lake to George Busart fot $1,500 and has rented the house and barn to another party for the summer.

1908 - April 6 - John Murray, who sold his farm south of the lake, has moved to Waukegan, Ill. His son Alvin, a senior in high school will remain here until the close of the school year.

1908 Dec 10 - A Victim of Incendiaries
    The John H. Murray cottage of rhe lake shore south of the Arlington was destroyed by fire yesterday morning.

    Ezra Blanchard discovered the fire bewtween 3 and 4 o'clock while going to meet the 4:30 traind at Hibbard and notified Gilber Hosimer, a relation of Murray and cartaker of the property

    Hosimer went to the scene of the fire and remained until after daylight though unable ro do anything toward saving the place. So far as known these two men were the only persons who saw the fire.

    The fire, when discovered by Blanchard, was blazing up the outsire of the house. Hosimer found the trackes of two men in the snow leading from the house to the railroad.

    The house, a story and a half cottage built ago built two years ago, was insured for $1,300. A small amount of funiture left in the house was insured for $100.

    The barn on the place was set-on fire Oct. 1 and destroyed. Tracks of two men were left of the ground at that time.


1908 - Dec 10 - The John H . Mrry cottage on the shore of Maxinkuckee south of the Arlington was destroyed by fire yesterday morning quite early and only two men were present to witness it. They discovered the tracks of two men fresh in the snow leading from the house. And as the fire when first discovered was blazing up the outside of the house they were convinced it was the work of incendiaries. The barn on the place was set on fire Oct. 1 and destoryed - Argos Reflector (Indiana)
