          Ralph S. Rinesmith MARION - Ralph S. Rinesmith, age 86, of Marion passed away Sunday evening, Oct. 16, 2005, at his home.

          Born in Huntington, Ind., on feb. 11, 1919 to Herman and Flossie (Slagle) Rinesmith, he married the former Cora Emma Carothers on Oct. 3, 1941 who preceded him in death in 2002.

          A World War II veteran of the United states Army, he served in England, France and Belgium with the 763 railway Shop Battalion and Erie Lackawanna Railroad unit from camp Millard-Bucyrus. He retired from the Erie Railroad-Conrail in 1979 after 37 years of service.

          Ralph was a life member of the American Legion post 368 and vfw Post 7201, a 30 year member of Eagles Aerie 337 and a 50 year member of IAM 1059 & 1707 and a member of the Erie Lackawanna-Conrail veterans Association.

          He was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn McKinley; and two brothers, Robert and William Rinesmith.

          Surviving are his two sons, Richard (Ruby) Rinesmith of Upper Sandusky and Steven (Wray Lynn) of Green Camp, six daughters Marilyn Rose, Debra (Darrell) Rose, Kathy (Daniel) Yost, and Beth (Charles) Sisson all of Marion; Rhonda (Terry) Smith of Bridgeport, W. Va. and Amy Stonebruner of Seminole, Fla; one brother Morris Rinesmith of Prospect, two sisters Betty Buckingham of Marion and Jaanette Baughman of Mount Gilead; 18 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

          Graveside services will be held on Wedensday at 1 p.m. at the Grand Prairie cemetery with the Rev. Grover Caudill officiaiting

          Burial will immediately follow and military honors will be observed by the Marion County Joint Veteran's Council.

        Mrs. Anna EAGAN, 62, died Wednesday morning at her home south of Culver. She had been in ill health for the past 15 months. Mrs. Eagan had resided in the Culver community for eight years, coming there from Pennsylvania.

        She was born in Pennsylvania in 1882 and on March 3, 1928, was married to James G. EAGAN, who preceded her in death Jan. 20, 1943. Mrs. Eagan was a member of the Culver E.U.B. church and the American Legion Auxiliary in Pennsylvania.

        Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Ora ROWELL of Culver and Mrs. Gertrude EMRICH of Sidney, O., and several nieces and nephews.

        Final rites will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Culver E.U.B. church with the Rev. Charles L. HANEY officiating. Burial will be in the Richland Center cemetery.
