    Hanly Blackburns, Summer Resident, Dies of Cancer

    Hanly R. Blackburn, age 53, highly successful Indianapolis food broker, fromer Culver summer resident at 1394 East Shore Drive, and an avid Lake Maxinkuckee fisherman, died July 4 at St. Vincent's Hospital in the hoosier capital after a valiant eight month's struggle against cancer.

    Many local residents mounr his passing.

    Mr. Blackburn, always pround of the fact that he was a native born Hoosier, founded the Hoosier Brokerage Company at Indianapolis in 1934, a firm that hellld state-wide distributorships for many nationally advertised foods.

    Mr. Blackburn was the namesake of one of his father's closets friends, Hon. H. Frank Hanly, two term Indiana congressman, Republican Governor of Indiana from 1905 to 1909 and the Prohibition party's nominee for President in 1916.

    Mr. Blackbunr and his devoted family, residents of 3710 North Meridan Street in Indianapolis in recent years, were ardent members of the Maxinkuckee Yacht club abd popular and prominent mebers of the Lake summer colont

    Survivin Mr. Blackburn are his wife, Lois Marsh Blackburn; his daughter Mrs. Carol Lymm Blackburn Seastrom; and his mother Mrs. Blanche C. Smith Blackburn aslo four grandchildren: Seven Hanly Blackburn and Kevin Alan Blackburn and David Hanly Seasstorm and Ted Kenneth Seastrom.

    After creamation, memorial services were held in Indianapolis Sunday afternoon.

    Many Culver summer residents were present, including Mr. and Mrs. Paul C. Cullom their next door neighbor for several years.

Indianapolis - Carol Lynn Blackburn, Seastrom, Kothe, Clark, 87, passed away after a long illness on October 23, 2018.

She was born May 11, 1931, to Lois Marsh and Hanly R. Blackburn in Pittsburgh, PA.

Proceeded in death by her three husbands; David A. Seastrom, Herman W. Kothe, and William C lark, her beloved granddaughter, Lodie C. Seastrom, her brother, Marsh Blackburn, and her parents.

She is survived by her two sons; David (Becky) Seastrom and Ted Seastrom, grandson Benjamin (Margo) Seastrom, and great-grandson, Travis.

She is forever grateful for the kindness shown to her by her nieces, nephews, and step children.

A memorial service will be held at the chapel in Marquette Manor, 8140 Township Line Rd., Indianapolis, IN. on November 3rd, at 10:00 a.m.
