In 1919 by the postal listing it was assigned the address of 316 East Shore Dr.

F. C. Deggendorf of Warsaw has this spring bought of Mrs. Hazledine the comfotable and completely appointed cottage -The Withes, on Sea Beach Place - in which they have been spending their summers for a number of years.

1922

1922 - Apr 21 - Mrs. F. C. Deggendorf of Warsaw opened her East side cottage last week. And, by the way, in reciting the building improvements for 1921 the Citizen overlooked this pleasant summer home where $2500 were expended in additions and changes which have made the cottage the all-year residence whic Mr. and Mrs. Deggendorf have established. - citizen

1929 - Jul 3 - Deggendorf Cottage Hit by Lightning Sunday

The electric storm Sunday afternnon did not hit this vicinity was had as it did other parts of Indiana, but it made its presecen known by striking the Deggendorft cottage on the East side of the lake. The actual damage was but slight. However, it played it useal freakish pranks by hitting a bunch of kys in a trunk, blowing the holder to bits and scttering the keys on the floor. The occupants of felt the effects of the bolt with the exception of those wearing rubber soled golf shoes - Citizen

In 1917 Arthur R. Baxter purchased the Hazeldine cottage, 1470 East Shore Road, and soon also acquired the M. E. Clark cottage next door, 1460 East Shore Road , Eventually the property owned by Mr. Degendorf, 1450 East Shore Road, was secured to house the growing family.
