It is said that it was built in 1910 as a rooming house for fishermen.

    David Burns done the seawall or the repairs of the existing seawall, the orginial stone work and at this cottage when Chet Evers owned the cottage as well as the cottage next door when Jim Rinesmith (138 W. Shore Dr.) owned it also the cottage next door Walkers Boathouse ( 140 W. Shore Dr.) when Frank Malkowski owned it. All were done the same year and in succession of each, pictures were taken of the shore line and work in progress.

They purchased the Heinsen cottage at 172 W. Shore Dr. next to them - tore the cottage down and during the summer of 2006 it was transformed into a beautiful landscaped lot
