S. J. Rossa, Realtor, Sells Belden Lake Home to Irving Bergman
S. J. Rossa, aggressive East Shore Realtor, last week announced that
he had sold the lake summer residence of Mrs. Mary C. Beldin, of
Indianapolis, to Irving Bergman, Gary Businessman
The valuable property is located at 1630 East Shore Drive between
the residences of Col Mrs. Walker W. Winslow and Mrs. Nora Howell.
The Citizen, backed up by Noah Webster, does not refer to such summer
homes as cottages as is somewhat the general custon in this locality
The Bergmans have been renting East Shore Homes in recent summers. THey
hava a daughter and a son, Scott, who is a cadet at Culver Military Academy
1957, Feb -6 -
Irving Bergman
On March 9th, 1957 the Bergman's held an auction of household goods and personal property at
their home "The Belden Cottage"
The biggest crowd to congregate on East Shore Drive since a pink elephant was spotted on the
golf course of the Lake Maxinkuckee Country CLub in 1932 turned out Saturday for the public
sale of household goods auctioned off for Mr. and Mrs. Irbing Bergman at the lkae residence they
recently purchased from Mrs. J. H. Belden. Cars practicall blocked State ROad 118 for nearly a
mile each way as eager matrions bed against each other for qntiques etc. Quite a site indeed.
