1880, May-1892, Jul - He had Scott's Boathouse on 1880 plat map was listed as "H. B. Scott 34.50A" (the plat map shows a sqare black dot which indicates a residence.) The plat map list it as "Halycon Villa" and in July 1892 ownership was transfered to Robert P & Caroline E. Daggett


By the 1898 Plat map it shows an H. B. Scott still holding lake property - tho this is the general area of "Halycon Villa" but appearing on scale as a much smaller size.


By 1908 it became known as "Edwards Boat House" and is labeled as R. A. Edwards

H. B. Scott Dies at Grosse Ile
    Newcomb-Endicott Offical, Aged 74m Dies Not Long Survive Wife

    Following his wife by only a few months, H. B. Scott, vice-president of the Newcomb-Endicott Company and a resident of Detriot fot 41 years, died at "Halycon Place", his estate at Grosse Ile, Monday morining.

    Mr. Scott, whose wife died last March, was 74 years old. He had been ill only a few days.

    Coming in Detriot in 1881, he became a partner in the Newcomb-Endicott compsny six years later and in 1892 was electer a vice-president.

    He was called "a hard worker of the old school' by his business associated and was known as a keen judge of value and as especially discriminating in the selection of merchandise. He was also foreign buyer for the company

    Mr. Scott was a member of the Detriot Boat Club, Detriot Automobile Club, and the Old Club of St. Clair Lake.

    He is survivednu his only chld Mrs. John Wright of Omaha, Neb. and one sister Mrs. Griffith of Hamilton, Ont.

    Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday. - Sep 12, 1922 Detroit Free Press (Michigan)

H. Bryon Scott was a well known Detriot businessman before the turn of the century.

He was a partner in the Newcomb Endicott Company which was a major depatement store

He also was a prize winning breeder of Guernsey Cows at "Halcyon Place" on Grosse Ile.

        Miss Grace Louise Scott, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. B. Scott of Grosse Isle, Mich. will be married on Saturday of this week to Mt. John Charles Wright son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Wright.

        The ceremonywill take place at high noon in the St. James Episcopal Church at Grosse Isle and will be followed by a reception at the Scott family home.
