Allene "Chris" Stubblefield  

CULVER — Allene "Chris" Stubblefield, 70, of Culver, beloved daughter, wife, mother and grandmother passed away Jan. 9, 2007. She was the daughter of longtime Culver residents Werner and Ida Carlson who have preceded her in death.

She is survived by her husband Frank M. Stubblefield Jr.; her sons: Frank M. Stubblefield III, Werner W. (Susan) Stubblefield and John P. (Michele) Stubblefield; and her daughter, Kathleen S. (John) Sweeney. She is also survived by two grandsons: William - May "Bo" Stubblefield and J.W.C. “Sam” Stubblefield and two granddaughters: Madalyn Stubblefield and Gabrielle Stubblefield.

Chris was an active volunteer in the Culver community and Culver Academies.

In lieu of flowers offerings to celebrate the life of Chris Stubblefield may be made to Culver Club of Culver Cabin Fund, c/o Dan Osborn, 1111 West Shore Dr., Culver, IN 46511, or St. Elizabeth’s Episcopal Church c/o Judi Dodge, 751 East Shore Dr., Culver, IN 46511.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2007 from 2 to 2:30 p.m. at the Culver Academies Memorial Chapel where services will then be conducted by Rev. Tom Steffen, Susan Haynes, and Margie Shaw. Burial will follow at Culver Masonic Cemetery.
