He attended Butler University.

He moved to Indianapolis where during the Great Depression he sold shoes and was the main support of his immediate and extended family.

He worked his way up the ranks at Thompson Industries: Moldings Division to become the president.

After retiring, he purchased, in 1961, a cottage in Culver, Indiana on Lake Maxinkuckee, and in the late 1960's moved to Naples, FL,

Frank Vernon Osborn, 71, of 101 Morrin Line Drive, died last night at Naples Community Hospital. A resident of Indianapolis, Ind., he had wintered here for the past four seasons.

He is survivied by his wife, Mrs. Charlotte Osborn; two daughters, Mrs. Walter Shirley of Indianapolis; Mrs. Charles Hoffman, Anderson, Ind.; a stepson, Dr. Frank Throop Indianapolis; and a sister, Mrs. Randall Thomas, Daytona Beach.

Funeral services and burial will be in Indianapolis.
