1942 - Dec 23 - F. A. Brewer Died - Word has been received that F. A. Brewer well known East Side cottager, died Moandy afternoon in Evanston, Ill. He had been in poor health for several years. Funderal services were held this (Wedensday afternoon in Evanston. No further particulars were avaiable.

Funeral Services were held Wednesday, Dec. 23, in the Hebblethwaite Chapel, Evanston, Ford Frederick Albert Brewer, who died Dec. 21, at the North Shore hotel, Evanston, after an extended illness. Park Lodge No. 843, A.F. & A.M. of which he was a member, conducted the services. Mr. brewer, former investment banker of CHicago, was born Dec. 7, 1874, in Warsaw In. and lived for many years in Chicago. He was president of F. A. Brewer and company, investment banking until his retire,ment 21 years ago because of poor health. He lived at the North Shore hotel during winters for the past five years and spent his summers at Lake Maxinkuckee. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Isabelle R. Brewer of Evanston; a daughter, Mrs. Earle P. Dickey of Williettee, Ill.; a brother E. C. Brewer of Los Angles; and Mrs. Walter Uhl of Loganpsort, sister of Mrs. Brewer, who made her home with the Brewers. - 30 Dec. 1943 Citizen

Funeral Services were held Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Isabelle R. Brewer at the Hebblethwaite Chapel Evanston, Ill. with Dr. Harold L. Bowen officiating.

Burial was at Warsaw, Ind.

Mrs. Brewer died Dec. 28 in her apartment at the North Shore hotel Evanston, just one week after the death of her husband, a former Chicago investment broker.

Although Mrs. Brewer had been in poor health for the last six months, her death cane very suddenly and unexpectedly.

The brewers had spent the past 16 summer at their cottage on East Shore Road.

Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Earle P. Dickey of Willmette, Ill; two grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Billson of Warsaw and Mrs. Walter Uhl of Logansport; and a brother R. G. Rutter of Warsaw. - Jan 6 1943 Citizen

Brewer Cottage Scene of Dickey-Brewer Wedding The Brewer cottage on East Shore Lane was the scene of a beautiful wedding on Thursday afternoon at 12:30 when Miss Harriet Brewer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Brewer and Earl Prince Dickey of RIverside, Califoronia, were married . The full ring ceremony of he EPiscopal church was read by Rev. Edward Hoffenbacher of Logansport, Ind. before the huge fireplace banked with yellow autumn leaves and yellow and white chrysanthemums to resemble an alter, relieved by baskets of white gladolia and dahlia.

The bride was attractive in simple princess gown of white lace and carred a shower of roses and lilies of the valley. Mrs.and Mrs. Richard WIlde of Chicaho were the couple's only attendants.

Following the ceremony a wedding lucheon was served to thirty guests including only relatives and the bride's most intimate friends.

The couple left on Thursday afternoon by motor for their home in Riverside, Calif. stopping to tour A century of Progress expostion in Chicago.
