He was a World War II Air Force veteran. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Little Red Door or the American Red Cross.     Schmidt-Stickney Engagament Announced The engagement of Miss Elinor Stickney, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Stickney, of Indianapolis, to. Lorenz O. Schmidt of Chicago has been announced by her parents. Miss Stickney graduated from Tudor Hall, Miss Moxley's School in Rome, Italy, and the Katherine Gibbs School in New York City. Mr. Schmidt, a grandson of Mrs. Orville Peckham and a nephew of John: Judah Peckham, was a graduate of Park School, Indianapolis, and attended Washington and Lee University and the University of Arizona: He is a member of the Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and the Maxinkuckee Yacht Club.     She was a nationally certified needlepoint instructor 15 years in her home. retiring in 1983.
