Jacquelin (Jackye) Murphy Birth Death Feb. 9, 2026 Mesa, Maricopa County, Arizona daughter of William (Bill) Murphy and Wilma Wolfe

Jacquelin (Jackye) Berger passed away Monday, Feb. 9, 2026 at the Friends and Family Nursing home in Mesa, AZ after an extended battle with Alzheimer's Disease.

Her husband, Larry Berger, served as caretaker for her in her final years and was able to keep her comfortable at their homes in Culver, Indiana and Gold Canyon, Arizona until her last few weeks of life when home hospice care was no longer sufficient.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Larry Berger, daughter, Kristine Eisenhour and sons, Kevin (Rebecca) Berger and Korey (Jane) Berger. She has two grandchildren, Kyanne Eisenhour and Kameron Eisenhour.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, William (Bill) and Wilma Murphy.

She loved and was loved by her family throughout her life. She loved doing things with her grandchildren including swimming, reading to them and attending Harry Potter movies.

Jackye and Larry married June 12, 1960.

Jackye was devoted to her family and community.

She attended IU Nurses training for three years before leaving to be a stay-at-home mom to Kevin, Kristine and Korey. During her college days she was Honorary Cadet Colonel of the Rose Poly ROCTC battalion.

Once she started her family in Culver, she became an active community member in Culver. She served as a mentor for the Rainbow Girls, a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts, Member & President of the Junior Women's Club, as an EMT and EMT instructor for the Culver (CUTEMS) EMS, Election Board volunteer and as Inspector at the polls on Election Day and served 17 years on the Culver Community School Board including time as President and other officer positions.

In Gold Canyon, she was a member of the Lions Club and volunteered for community events in Mountain Brook Village.

She was a faithful member of the Culver Wesley United Methodist Church and attended the Gold Canyon United Methodist Church.

A small gathering of friends will be held in Mountain Brook Village, February 21st with a Celebration of Life to be held this Summer in Culver, date to be determined.
