    V. H. Rites To Be Held Monday

    Funeral services for Voras H. Phillips, 60 years old, sales manager of E. H. Bindley & Co., who died at 5 o'clocok Wednesday evening at his residence, 826 Collett avenue, will be held at 1:30 o'clock Friday afternoon at t he Cross Funeral Home with the Rev. Samuel E. Carruth officiating

    Mr. Phillips had been with the Bindley whoesale drug firm for 46 years. He joined the firm at age of 14, as an errand boy.

    He was a member of the Centenary Methodist church and the Knights of Pythias Lodge and he was a veteran of World War I.


    Surviving are the widow May Abbott Pgillips; one son WIlliam F. Phillips, Terre Haute; two sisters Mrs. Eva Liston, Los Angles, and Mrs. Gertride Neighbors, Covina, Calif. and one grandchild.

    BUrial will be in Montezuma Cemetery.

    1920 - JUl 14 - Miss May Abbott was married in June, at her home in Huntington, to Mr. Voras Phillips of Terre Haute.

    Last year Miiss Abbott, who was a teacher in the Normal trainiing School at Terre HUate, built a prety little cotage on the West shore, where she is well known to many of the summer colonists.

    Mrs Phillips' friends on Maxinkuckee will all extend sincere good wished for her future happiness

1918 - Aug. 14 - May Abbott of Huntington has returned from a visit in Indianapolis and will remain for a time with her aunt, Mrs. L. G. Walker.

1919 - Jul 2 - Miss May Abbott critic teacher in the Terre Haite Normal, last week moved into the attractive bungalow she has just built near the Walker corner The little cottage with its cool green and white interior, wide screened porches and beautiful view is an ideal place for the house parties of merry girls that Miss Abbott is planning for. Her sister, Miss Ruby Jane Abbott, domestic science supervisor at Ridgewood, N. J. is with her this week.

1919 - Jul 30 - Mrs. A. C. Abbott of Huntington and Muss May Young of Needles, Calif., spent last week with Mrs. Abbott's daughter, Miss May Abbott, in the latter's new bungalow. Miss Ruby Jane Abbott, who has been visiting her sister, left Sunday to spend (Noter as written)

1919 - Sep 3 - Miss May Abbott has been entertaining a house party for five days at her new bungalow. Her guests are Miss Elizabeth Raford, principal of the normal training school at Terre Haute, Miss Joy Muchmore, Miss Doyne Kiince, and Miss Telulah Robinson, all critic teachers in the same school, and Miss Bennett, a student.

1935 - Sep 4 - Mrs. V. Phillips and son Billy of Terre Haute Are occupying their cottage on the south sie until school opens on September 9. Mr. Phillis came up over Labor Day.

1935 - May 27 - Mrs. V. H. Phillips of Terre Haute, has returned home after spending a week at the Phillips cottage of the southwest side to open it for the season.
