1923 - Apr 18 - A New Proprietor Takes Hotel Culver

    The Hotel Culver has bought by N. J . Hackett, of North Judson, proprietor of a hotel inthat place, and is to be completely renocated and repaired for opening to the public June 1.

    The name of the hotel will be changed, but the name has not yet been decided upon.


1923 - May 30 - Hotel Rejuvenated - The Hotel Culver afer a suspension of business for several month, is again in operation inder its new North Jdson proprietor. The house has been refitted and renewed from roof to basement. Guests for C.M.A. commencement week are being booked.

    W. H. Eickenberry of Kokomo Took Over Last Week

    The Hotel Hackett was sole last week by L. B. Hackett to W. H. Eickenberry of Kokomo.

    The new proprietor has taken charge and has made James Fisher of Gibsonburg, Ohio, the manager.

    Mr. Eikenberry is the owner of the Desoto Hotel of Marion, Indiana. He as been interested in several hotels in Indiana in past years.

    Mr. Fisher has also had much hotel experience and the combination should make a good thing of this hotel.

    The new management is planning some repairing to the building.

    The third floor will be refinished and redecorated while a heating plant will be install which will heat the entire building.

    Some other minor repairs will so be done.

    The hotel will retain the same name.


" It is clearly marked as the Hackett Hotel- also known more promently as the Osborn Hotel or the New Culver Hotel or Culver Hotel.
