HEBRON George Hollenbeck, 84, 10419 Route 173, Hebron, died Saturday, Aug. 23, in Memorial Hospital
for McHenry ,County, Woodstock.
He was born Jan. 30, 1891, in Kankakee, the son of Lester and Carrie Colton Hollenbeck.
On Feb. 1, 1930, in Joliet, he married Luella Schmidt, who survives.
Mr. Hollenbeck, who formerly operated the Hollenbeck Fruit Market in Hebron, was a member of Grace
Lutheran Church, Woodstock.
He is also survived by five daughters, Mrs. Betty Raetner, Daytona Beach, Fla., Mrs James (Donna) Ward,
Woodstock, Miss Maxine Hollenbeck, who lived at home, Mrs. Edward (Cody) LeBaron, and Mrs. James (Jorga)
Stewart, both also of Hebron; 11 grandchildren and five great - grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 27, in Simes funeral home.
The Rev. Raymond Shawl will officiate and friends may call from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
on Tuesday in the funeral home.
Burial will be private.
A memorial fund in Mr. Hollenbeck's name has been established for the Hebron Rescue Squad. - - The Daily

HEBRON - Mrs.' Luella H. Hollenbeck, 80, Hebron, died Sunday, Oct. 10, in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ed (Cody)
LeBaron in Hebron.
She was born Dec. 27, 1901, in Harvard, the daughter of Max and Lena Schacht Schmidt.
On Feb. 1, 1930, in Joliet, she married George Hollenbeck, who died Aug. 23, 1975.
She and her husband owned and operated Hollenbeck Fruits and Vegetables for 30 years, retiring in 1955.
Mrs. Hollenbeck was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Hebron; an election judge for many years; and also
worked in the Hebron Drug Store for 10 years.
She is survived by three other daughters, Donna Ward, Woodstock, Maxine Hollenbeck, Hebron, and Mrs. Jim (Jorga)
Stewart, Hebron; nine grandchildren; and two brothers, Elmer Schmidt, Colby, Wis., and Bill Schmidt, Woodstock.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Judson; and a brother, Fred Schmidt.
Friends may call Tuesday from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. in the Ehorn - Adams funeral home, Hebron, where the Rev. Raymond
C. Shawl will conduct services at 11 a.m. Wednesday.
Burial will be in Alden cemetery.
