By this article just where it stood is debateable at this moment
as it seems that it could of been moved several times before finaly
being razed
1905 - Nov 2 - A cement walk is being built on the south side of the
M. E. parsonage.
1910 - Oct 20 - Improving Parsonage - Some improvement are to be made in the
Methodist Parsonage which will add to its convenience and comfort. The stairway will
be changed to ascend from the parlor instead of the kitchen and inside painting and
papering will be done.
1910 Nov 24 - A cistern has been dug at the Methodist church parsonage and a back
porch 8X20 with a cement floor being built
1911 - April 6 - A committier has been appointed to take charge of the construction
of a front porch on the Methodist parsonage, also a new roof.
1911 May 11 - Church Improvements - Material is being hauled for the new porch of
the M E. parsonage. When this improvement is completed this house will be repainted
and it will then be the creditable looking church property which should characterize
all church holdings.
1912 Apr 25 - Workmen will begin the construction of the new porch at the M. E.
parsonage this week
1913 - Apr 3 - Rev Harris is luxuriating in the bright light of a gasoline plant which
he himself installed in the M. E. Parsonage last week
1918 - Nov 27 - City water was piped into the M. E. parsonage Saturday and the trench
was not filled. Saturday and Sunday night's freeze burst the pipes and the precher's
cellar became a natatorium.
1920 Sep 1 - The cellar of the Methodis parsonage is being excavated to receive
the furnace which is to be installed.
1920 - OCt 13 - The old barn on the Methodest parsonage lot is being torn down
by Brother Meredith. It will be replaced by a garage
1923 - Dec 23 - Imporvement At Parsonage - A bathroom has been installed in the M. E.
Parsonage. The house is now modernly equiped and makes a desirable home for the
preacher and his family
1930 = Aug 20 = The board also ordered the propery owners along Main Stree from the
E. O. Byrd house south to the M. E. parsonage to fix their sidewalk which has become
quite rough.
1933 - Jul 26 - Remodel, M. E. Parsonage - The remodeling of the Methodist Parsonage
has been completed and Rev. Richard Pengilly and family moved into their new home
Thursday. The kitchen has been completely rebuilt and the floors refinished in the
balance of the downstairs.

1956 - Dec 26 - The deal has been completed for the Methodist parsonage and the Mrs.
Lillie Buswell properties at Main and Washington Streets. Standard Oil of Indiana has
completed negotiaitions and will build an ultra-modern service station...Mrs Buswell
got...Attorney George Sands of South Bend represent her, and he did a good job
