    1940 Census says he was a Telegrapher and death certificate states he was Chief Train Dispatcher for the Nickel Plate Railroad.


1957 - AUGUST 21 - Dr. and Mrs. F. L. Babcock of Rochester have purchased the former Dr. Slonaker residence at 203 S. Main St. and will move there soon where Dr. Babcock, an optometrist, will open an office

Dr. Francis L. & Mary Ella Babcock Residence 1957 - 1998, Jul
    In the mid 1960's bought the lot south of they (209 S. Main) and had the house demolished and installed an in-ground swinming pool on the lot

    They bought 218 S. Main

    ] Dr. Francis L. Babcock, Optomertrist Office - he moved it across to 218 S Main St. in the mid 1980's

    Some time possible after the late 1980's the swimming pool was removed or just filled in.
